Over 1,600 people toured the Feature Home during the recent Spring Parade of Homes event presented by the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire. The 5 bedroom, 7 bathroom rustic elegant home raised $4,194.11 for the Sioux Empire Home Builders Care Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Home Builders Association.The 11,500 sq. ft. home built by Deffenbaugh Homes is located just west of Hartford. Valued at over $2 million, this home showcases a 36-ft high ceiling in the great room and tiled deck with a fireplace and a large screen television overlooking a small lake out back. Other amazing features seen by those who recently toured the home were the home theatre, designed and installed by Audio Video Integrations, knotty alder millwork, walk-in kitchen pantry and an impressive water feature above the fireplace in the great room.

Integra is shipping its first Blu-ray Player the Profile 1.1 DBS-6.9.
The DBS-6.9, which was quietly introduced at CEDIA Expo 2008, delivers full 1080p HD at 24fps and features an HDMI v. 1.3a output with the Deep Color.
It also delivers bitstream output of both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio for decoding in compatible processors or receivers.
Other features:
▪ A front-panel SD card slot
▪ Bonus View picture-in-picture
▪ DVD upscaling to 1080p
The DBS-6.9 can play CD, Video CD, CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW, DivX, WMA, JPG and MP3 files.
"We are very pleased to mark Integra's first entrance into the Blu-ray disc player category with the DBS-6.9," says Integra.

We are in the process of building a self contained home theater room in our Design Center here in Sioux Falls. It will be a real show piece with some of the best A/V equipment available. We'll keep you posted as it nears completion.

We have been very busy this Summer and it promises to be an even busier Fall & Winter. We have several large commercial projects that are set to begin and some really great residential projects in new homes set for construction. So stay tuned for more project photos.

The Home Show is over and based on the crowds and the comments it would seem that the home building and home remodeling market is thriving in our area. While the AVI booth didn't win any prizes we did attract a lot of potential customers that should become projects for the coming year. Thanks to everyone who visited our booth.

Our new hours are Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. We ask that you call ahead to make sure we're in the office to meet with you as we're often out meeting with clients.

Gerry Suchy joins the FOSS-AVI team as in-house graphic designer. Gerry has been in the graphic design business since 1997 working for a variety of corporate enterprises and most recently as a freelance designer. His experience and eye for design will most certainly be a plus as FOSS-AVI moves into the future.
